Flights of Fancy: Short Fiction

Predator and Prey

Picture

This story was written in response to an NYC Midnight short story competition. The unlikely prompt that I was given consisted of a genre (spy), character (model), and situation (job hunt). The following story, which contains my first attempt at writing an aikido technique,  can be found by clicking here.

Happily Ever After

Picture

This playful twisting of the Cinderella story was inspired by The First Line literary magazine's summer 2020 prompt, "The Door was Locked." Fast-paced and boiling with repressed violence, this flash fiction story examines the dangers of looking to fairy godmothers for our happy-ever-afters.  Click here to visit the full story.
